My name is Samantha Valverde, and I’m a Social Work Licensure Candidate and Licensed Addiction Counselor Candidate. I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, families in crisis, people in recovery, and unsheltered community members. These experiences have taught me how much people carry and highlights the need for all humans of all backgrounds to deserve a space.
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally aware, solution-focused, and strengths-based. I work collaboratively and at your pace, helping you make sense of your patterns, build on what’s already working, and find practical ways to feel more grounded and capable in your daily life. I use Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused strategies, grounding practices, and a relational, human-centered style to support you in moving toward the life you want.
Nature is a big part of how I understand balance and healing. I often draw on nature-based grounding to help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find steadiness when things feel overwhelming. I believe healing isn’t linear. It’s a gentle returning to balance, again and again, with compassion for yourself.
I’m committed to accessible, culturally responsive care and to walking alongside people who have been overlooked or underserved in traditional systems. My hope is that our work together helps you feel seen, supported, and able to take up the space you deserve.
